AWS for SAP
Build Resilient Applications on SAP BTP with AWS
In a 2021 study done by ASUG and Pillir, the average annual spend to maintain the most valuable SAP custom code was $800,000. For 37% of organizations, this represents up to 50% of their annual IT spend. At the same time, 91% of SAP users rely heavily on SAP Custom code to run their mission critical business processes. The maintenance cost of custom code is exponentially increasing with every SAP upgrades and modernization project.
SAP introduced the clean core approach which essentially advocates for keeping the core of SAP S/4HANA out-of-the-box while extending functionality through SAP Business Transformation Platform (SAP BTP) and other complementary services such as AWS Native Cloud Services.
In order to realize the clean core approach, customers and partners need to understand the capabilities of SAP BTP and AWS Cloud Services, and how they can benefit from the best of both worlds.
This blog introduces and provides an overview of the training course, “Build Resilient Applications on SAP BTP with Amazon Web Services”. This collaborative initiative by SAP and AWS serves as their strategic response to empower participants with the insights required to unleash the full potential of both companies. The training facilitates a seamless implementation of the clean core approach, enabling participants to effortlessly harness the advantages offered by the best of both worlds.
SAP and Amazon Web Services have been working together for over 15 years to jointly innovate for customers. A testimony of that continuous innovation is the recent announcement that SAP HANA Cloud Now Supports AWS Graviton.
One of the areas the strategic partnership focuses on is accelerating the adoption of SAP S/4HANA and RISE with SAP, and SAP BTP on AWS. By combining SAP BTP and AWS we bring the unique strengths, resources, and expertise to innovate and create value for our customers and partners.
